There are three major blueberry types:
1. Highbush (Vaccinium corymbosum L.)
2. Lowbush blueberry (Vaccinium angustifolium Ation)
3. Bilberries (European blueberry, Vaccinium myrtillus)
KINGHERBS use highbush blueberries for extraction, they are wild and are made up of many different clones that exhibit a great deal of phytochemical diversity, the highbush fruit is bigger than that of the lowbush variety. KINGHERBS use only blueberry from Changbai Mountains. The Blueberry average weight of 0.5 ~ 2.5 g, maximum weight 5 g,  the seed is very small, the blue lustre is charming, with a layer of white powder, the berry tastes sweet-sour with a pleasant aroma.
KINGHERBS freeze the blueberry within 3 hours after the berry being washed gently.

The functional components of Vaccinium products appear to be the phenolic compounds, particularly the anthocyanins and pterostilbene. Blueberry extract is now used as an alternative to the expensive Vaccinium myrtillus extracts, a type of European wild blueberry which is widely used in prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Blueberries are powerful antioxidants. Antioxidants help neutralize harmful by-products of metabolism called "free radicals" that can lead to cancer and other age related diseases. Anthocyanin, which is the pigment that makes the blueberry blue, is the key antioxidant responsible for these benefits.
Developments have placed Blueberry at the top of the health list to soak up free radicals and combat carcinogens. The anthocyanins in Blueberry are beneficial for helping to combat age-related memory loss and Alzheimer's disease. This nutrient and vitamin rich berry also supports healthy blood sugar levels and healthy cardiac function.
