Description
price calcium stearate/plastic additives/pvc stabilizer CAS No.:1592-23-0Calcium Stearate
Molecular formula:Ca(C17H35COO)2
Physico-chemical properties White soft powder, innoxious, no sulphur pollution, specific density 1.08, insoluble in water, slightly soluble in hot ethanol, can be decomposed into steric acid and corresponding salt by strong acid, it has water absorbability in atmosphere. Please pay attention to wet environment on storage and transportation.
Direction for use The stability of Calcium stearate is weaker than Calcium lead stearate and barium stearate, but if used together with Zn soap and epoxy compounds, the stability could be increased. It is widely used in innoxious products. But under the condition of above 160 °C temperature and long heating time, PVC would be turned into reddish color. Too much use would result in spraying phenomenon.
