Wire rope thimbles are just one of the many types of wire rope fittings (ferrules, shackles, terminals, etc.) we
supply .We can supply thimbles in various sizes,the thimble you will need is dependent upon your application
and it's vital the correct thimble is chosen to meet your needs.
Thimbles are perfect for wire ropes terminating in a loop and are one of the most commonly used end fittings
for steel cable. They are used to help protect the steel wire-rope which forms the eye, and therefore will
greatly extend the working life of the rope, they also add extra rigidity to a soft loop making it stronger and
much easier to attach wherever it is needed.
Steel wire rope sling collar,also known as chicken heart ring,is a kind of lifting appliance.It is provided with
a rope groove for the end of the rope to wrap and tie,so as to prevent excessive bending and wear of the
rope,and can connect the heart-shaped metal ring of other components.
In case of single leg lifting,the lifting point must be vertically above the center of gravity of the object to be
lifted. In case of double leg lifting,the lifting point shall be located on both sides of the goods, and the hook
shall be above the center of gravity of the lifted object. In case of three leg or four leg lifting,the lifting point
must be evenly located on the plane around the goods,and the hook must be directly above the center of
gravity of the object to be lifted.
Wire rope thimbles are made from grade 304 stainless steel and grade 316 stainless steel, ss316 is better
than ss304 in corrosion resistance and rust prevention, if their application areas are very bad like marine
and biogas..., we recommend you choose grade 316 stainless steel, If not, SS304 is good enough.
Wire rope thimbles are available in size from 2mm to 32mm, when you don't know how to choose the size
