This product may be used to treat infections caused by sensitive strains of microorganisms specified in the following conditions:
1. Lower respiratory infection: caused by haemophilus or moracillus, which produce beta-lactamase.
Otitis media: caused by the beta-lactamase producing bacteria haemophilus or moracella.
3. Sinusitis: caused by the beta-lactamase producing bacterium haemophilus or morakella.
4. Skin and soft tissue infections: caused by beta-lactamase production of staphylococcus, escherichia coli or klebsiella.
Urinary tract infection: caused by e. coli, klebsiella or enterobacter.
Although this product is effective against any of the above infections, infections caused by ampicillin sensitive bacteria may also be treated by this product because it contains amoxicillin. Therefore, compound infections caused by ampicillin - sensitive organisms and beta-lactamase - producing organisms are both sensitive to ampicillin and do not require additional antibiotics.Because amoxicillin is more effective in vitro against s. pneumoniae than ampicillin and penicillin, the vast majority of s. pneumoniae that are neutrally sensitive to ampicillin or penicillin are completely sensitive to amoxicillin and this product.
In order to detect pathogenic bacteria and their sensitivity to this product, bacteriological tests should be carried out together with surgical operations. When an infection may involve the aforementioned beta-lactamase producing microorganism, treatment must be initiated prior to the results of bacteriology and sensitivity tests in order to measure the pathogen and its sensitivity to the product.Once the results are known, the treatment regimen should be adjusted as needed.

For patients with impaired kidney function: patients with impaired kidney function are generally not required to reduce the dose;Patients with severe renal impairment and creatinine clearance [30ml/min] should not take this product.
For liver function impaired patients: should use this product carefully, and should check liver function regularly.
adverse reaction:
This product is generally well tolerated, and most of the side effects observed clinically are mild and transient.Less than three percent of patients stopped treatment because of drug-related side effects. The major side effects reported were diarrhea/thinning of stool (9%), nausea (3%), measles and urticaria (3%), vomiting (1%), and dalitis (1%).The occurrence of adverse reactions, especially diarrhea, is related to the larger dosage.Other rare side effects include abdominal discomfort, bloating and headache.
Ampicillin antibiotics have reported the following side effects.
Gastrointestinal tract: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, gastritis, stomatitis, glossitis, tongue coating black, mucosal candidiasis, colitis and haemorrhagic/pseudomembranous colitis.Symptoms of pseudomembranous colitis may develop during or after antibiotic treatment.
Allergic reactions: dermatitis, pruritus, urticaria, vasoedema, serolike reactions (urticaria or dermatitis with arthritis, arthralgia, myalgia, and frequent fever).Multiple erythema (rare stevens-johnson syndrome) and exfoliative dermatitis (including toxic skin necrosis) have been reported. These symptoms can be controlled with antihistamines. If necessary, take corticosteroids. If any of these symptoms appear, discontinue the medication immediately unless otherwise directed.
When used with other beta-lactam antibiotic tables, severe sporadic allergic reactions can occur.
Liver: patients treated with ampicillin have a slight increase in AST(SGOT) and/or ALT(SGPT), but the significance of these results is not yet clear.Patients taking this product have occasional reports of impaired liver function, including elevated AST and/or ALT, elevated bilirubin and/or alkaline phosphatase. These reports are more common in older patients, men, or long-term patients.
Signs or symptoms of liver damage may occur at the time of treatment or within weeks of cessation of treatment.Liver damage may be severe but is usually reversible.Deaths are rarely reported, but usually occur in cases with a serious underlying illness or in combination with other medications.
Kidney: rare interstitial nephritis and hematuria.
Hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, thrombocytopenic purpura, eosinophilia, leukopenia, and granulocytopenia.Once treatment is stopped, these symptoms disappear and are considered allergic.Less than 1% of patients who took ametine developed mild thrombocytopenia. It has been reported that the coagulation time of patients with this product combined with anticoagulant is prolonged.
Central nervous system: hyperactivity with agitation, anxiety, behavioral changes, confusion, dizziness, insomnia, and reversible disorders is rare.
It is contraindicated for those allergic to penicillin drugs or patients with liver dysfunction.
