Applications:

DPM is a mid-to-slow evaporating solvent, which can be used as true solvent. DPM is tail solvent for solvent-based gravure and flexographic inks. And it is the primary solvent in solvent-based silk screen printing inks. DPM's intermediate evaporation rate allow it to be used in a potentially wider range of systems than many other solvents.

This hydrophilic solvent is miscible with water and has suitable HLB value. It's an excellent surfactant. It is ideally suited as a coupling agent in a wide range of solvent systems, like water-base gravure, flexographic and silk screen printing inks. Mixed with other effective solvents, it acts as coupling and active agent in water-base dilutable coatings. Its hydrophilic nature makes it an ideal coupling aid in water reducible coatings and cleaning applications. It can be used as coupling agent and solvent in household and industrial cleaners, grease and paint removers, metal cleaners and hard surface cleaners.

Its flash point is high, making it easier to handle, store and ship.

Often incorporated into acrylic or styrene-acrylic emulsion and latex paint, DPM has the feature to prevent shocking (coagulation of emulsion) when hydrophobic solvents are used.

DPM can also be used as stabilizer for agricultural herbicides, fixative of perfume, coalescent for floor polishes and finishes, emollient in cosmetic formulations, coupling agent and solvent for vat dyeing fabrics.

DPM is one constituent of brake fluid.

Package and delivery:
