Pharmacological effect:
The effect of dexa-methasone is basically similar to hydrocorti-sone, but the effect is strong, the effective time is long, and the side effects are small. The anti-inflammatory effect and gluconeogenesis were 25 times as much as hydrocortis-one, while the effects of sodium water on pig retention and blood circulation were slightly less than hydrocortis-one. It has a strong inhibitory effect on pituitary adrenal cortical axis. In addition to the above functions, this product can also be used for induction of labor of female livestock during the same period of delivery, but it can increase the rate of placenta retention, delay lactation, and recover the uterus to normal late. After intramuscular injection in dogs, the drug showed a rapid systemic effect. The peak concentration of the drug in the blood reached 0.5 hour, and the elimination half-life was about 48 hours. It was mainly excreted by analogy and urine.
Drug interaction:
(1) Phen-obarbital and other liver drug enzyme inducers can promote the metabolism of these drugs and reduce the efficacy. (2) It can accelerate the elimination of salicylate, reduce the curative effect, and easily cause digestive tract ulcer when used together. (3) It can reduce the curative effect of anticoagulant drugs taken orally. When they are used together, the dosage of anticoagulant drugs should be appropriately increased. (4) Salivary crop diuretics can promote the excretion of the clock. When used together, attention should be paid to supplementing the clock.
Function and use:
Glucocorticoids. It has anti-inflammatory, anti allergic and effects on sugar metabolism. It is used for inflammatory and allergic diseases, bovine ketosis and sheep toxemia.
Usage and dosage:
Intramuscular and intravenous injection:

Adverse reactions:
(1) It has a strong effect of sodium and water on retention and clock setting in pigs.
(2) it has a strong immunosuppressive effect. (3) High dosage in late pregnancy can cause abortion.
(4) Dogs can lead to dullness, dry coat, weight gain, wheezing, vomiting, diarrhea, increased liver drug metabolizing enzymes, pancreatitis, gastrointestinal ulcer, hyperlipidemia, cause or exacerbate diabetes, muscle atrophy, behavior changes (depression, lethargy, and aggression), and may need to stop taking medicine.
(5) Cats occasionally experience excessive drinking, eating, urination, weight gain, diarrhea or depression. Long term high-dose treatment can lead to disorder of corticosteroid secretion.
Precautions:
(1) It is forbidden for female animals in the early and late pregnancy.
(2) Animals with severe liver dysfunction, osteomalacia, fracture treatment period, wound repair period and vaccination period are prohibited.
(3) Strictly grasp the role and use to prevent abuse.
(4) For bacterial infection, it should be used together with antibacterial drugs.
