Ticagrelor for patients with acute coronary syndrome (unstable angina, non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction, or ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction), including those receiving medical therapy and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) , reduce the incidence of thrombotic cardiovascular events. Compared with clopidogrel, ticagrelor reduced the incidence of the composite endpoint of cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction, or stroke.
