Maleic Anhydride (MA for short) is a white solid in flake or briquette under room temperature, or colorless transparent liquid in molten phase with acrid odor. It is an important organic chemical feedstock with various applications in polymers, coatings, synthetic intermediate, etc. MA is mainly produced by oxidation of n-butane or benzene, and the former method has been prevailing for its lower feedstock price and unit consumption.
