Description
Low Profile Controlled Tooling Reisn(filled)
Product Description
Application Attention
- Ensure the resin has thoroughly mixing before application.
- As a first coat, deposit a thin filmof the resin only to the Skin coat(or barrier coat) surface. Then immediately follow up with 4-5mm reinforcement layers in two separate passes, quickly removing air bubbles after each pass.
- Strong recommended that gel time should be checked in the customer's plant, as storage, temperature, humidity and catalyst will cause different gel time from that mentioned. The catalyst level should not exceed 2.0 % or fall down below 1.0 % for proper cure. Recommended range is within 1.0 % ~ 2.0 % at 25ºC being ideal. This product should not be used when temperature is below 15ºC, as curing may be adversely affected.
- once the layer has cooled you can continue building mould thickness by aadding successive layers of filled tooling resin until your desired mould thickness is attained.
- Typical recommendation is a mould thickness 3 layes your mold thickness.
- Ensure that each 5mm layer to cool back to 25ºC before applying a successive layer.- Please feel free let me know if more details about products information.

Total tooling resins solutions for composites mold
We could offers a full line of tooling resins for all methods of tooling manufacture. These products include epoxy ,unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester and a series of low profile resins.
- Tooling gel coats are formulated specifically for mold making. These series contain both special polyester and vinyl ester products.
- Skin coat.Superior mold cosmetics can be achieved by using a skin coat with hybrid vinyl ester resin behind the gel coat. Be applied after the gel coat application and offer good protection from fiber-print and distortion on the gel coat surface in order to increase mould turnaround time.
- A full line of tooling resins for all methods of tool manufacture. These products include a vinyl ester and a series of low profile resins. The vinyl ester resin can be used as skin and bulk materials in the conventional mold building process. This process consists of daily single ply lamination until the required mold skin thickness is achieved.Application | Procedure | Product type | Description |
