Storage tanks are widely used storage equipment in petrochemical production, used in the refining industry to store various raw materials, semi-finished oil, finished oil, aromatic products, and liquefied gas. Atmospheric storage tanks usually have nozzles that are directly connected to the atmosphere, always maintaining the operating pressure inside the tank within the design pressure.
The tank body includes:
(1) a groove surface of the first circumferential joint welded to the external pipeline;
(2) The first threaded joint end face of the threaded connection;
(3) The first flange sealing surface of the flange connection;
(4) The first sealing surface connected by a dedicated connector or pipe fitting;
(5) The connection weld between non pressure bearing components and storage tanks.
The main pressure bearing components in the tank body include the tank top, tank wall, tank bottom, nozzles with a nominal diameter greater than or equal to 250 mm, and pipe flanges. The safety accessories of the storage tank include safety valves/breathing valves, liquid pressure relief valves, emergency shut-off devices, safety interlocking devices, pressure gauges, liquid level gauges, thermometers, flame arresters, etc. directly installed on the storage tank.
