FAQ

Q1. What is intend use for CRV test kits?
A1. The Rapid Canine Rotavirus Antigen Test Kit is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of canine rotavirus antigen (CRV Ag) in dog’s feces or vomit specimen.

Q2. What is the test principle for CRV test kits?
A2. The Rapid Canine Rotavirus Antigen Test Kit is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test device has a testing window for the observation of assay running and result reading. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone before running the assay. When the treated sample was applied into the sample hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow through the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated monoclonal antibodies. If there is CRV antigen in the specimen, a visible T line will appear. The C line should always appear after a sample is applied, which indicates a valid result. By this means, the device can accurately indicate the presence of CRV antigen in the specimen.

Q3. What is storage and stability for CRV test kits?
A3. The Rapid Canine Rotavirus Antigen Test Kit can be stored at room temperature (4-30°C). The test kit is stable through the expiration date (24 months) marked on the package label. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not store the test kit in direct sunlight.

Q4. What is the validation for CRV test kits?
A4. 24 months

Q5. Is there any of precautions for CRV test kits?
A5. 1) All reagents must be at room temperature before running the assay.
       2) Do not remove test cassette from its pouch until immediately before use.
       3) Do not use the test beyond its expiration date.
       4) Avoid direct sunlight and fan blowing when testing.
       5) Do not touch the test strip window area.
       6) Do not mix the sample dropper to avoid cross contamination.
       7) Do not use diluent other than this reagent.
       8) All specimens are of potential infection. The used test strips shall be disposed of properly in accordance with local regulations on the disposal of pollutants.
