Hydroxy silicone oil is also known as dimethyl hydroxy silicone oil.A linear polymer with methyl as a side group and terminated with a hydroxyl group. This silicone oil is colorless and transparent, tasteless and odorless.Soluble in benzene, ether, phenyl methyl and other organic solvents, insoluble in water and ethanol, low viscosity hydroxy silicone oil has a certain solubility in water.
It can be used in the manufacture of silicone hydroxyl milk, as a fabric, paper, leather treatment agent
Dimethylhydroxy silicone oil is widely used as a structural control agent during silicone rubber processing, which can effectively control the structural effect between the rubber mixture and white carbon black, improve the processing performance of silicone rubber, and extend the storage period of the rubber material.
Dimethylhydroxysilica oil can also be used in the synthesis of various polysiloxane intermediates.

Applications
Hydroxy silicone oil can be used for hydrophobic and moisture-proof treatment of dry powder extinguishing agent, electrical grade magnesia powder, calcium carbonate and other dry powder materials.
Hydroxy silicone oil can be used as waterproof agents for the treatment of various fillers, ceramics, concretes, marbles, glasses, metals, leather and paper.
Hydroxy silicone oil can be used as an important intermediate for the preparation of silicone fluids, polyurethane foam stabilizer, paint water-flowing agent. It is also used for diluting silicone rubber inks.
Hydroxy silicone oil can be used as anti-yellowing agents for high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber and cross-linking agents for addition cure silicone rubber products.
Hydroxy silicone oil can be used for soft finishing of fabrics and textiles, such as linen, silk, polyester and nylon. It is also used as a basic material for fabrics finishing agent preparation.
