Oleic acid is an indispensable nutrient in animal food. Its lead salt, manganese salt and cobalt salt are paint drying agents; Copper salt is a preservative for fishing nets; Aluminum salt can be used as waterproofing agent for fabrics and thickening agent for some lubricating oils.
