Name | Alpha-cypermethrin |
Chemical equation | C22H19CI2NO3 |
CAS Number | 67375-30-8 |
Common Name | Alpha-cypermethrin, alfoxylate, alphamethrin |
Biochemistry | Acts by preventing transmission of impulses along nerves, brought about by blocking the passage of sodium ions through sodium channels in nerve membranes thus preventing action potentials passing down axons. Typically this intoxication results in a rapid "knockdown" and resultant mortality. |
Formulations | 97%Tech, 10%EC, 5%EC ,5%EW, 5%WP |
Mixed formulation | Mixed formulation 1 Alpha-cypermethrin + Profenofos Mixed formulation 2 Imidacloprid 150g/L+ Alpha-cypermethrin 125g/L SC Mixed formulation 3 Imidacloprid 300g/L+ Alpha-cypermethrin 100g/L SC |
Mode of Action | Non-systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action. Acts on the central and peripheral nervous system in very low doses. Widely used to control lepidoptera, coleoptera and binocular pests of cotton, fruit trees, soybeans, vegetables and other crops |
