Glycerol monostearate is an organic compound with the formula C21H42O4 and a pure white waxy solid. It has an emulsifying effect, stirred in hot water, and cooled into a very fine paste, commonly known as alabaster. Used in household chemicals, it is an ideal raw material for alabaster, cold frost, etc. It is also used in pharmaceutical products and is a raw material for the preparation of neutral ointments. It is used as an emulsifier in food products such as ice cream.

Glyceryl stearate is a nonionic surfactant. It has both hydrophilic and lipophilic genes, and has various functions such as wetting, emulsification, and foaming.
