You may also purchase higher protective armor inserts separately here. | The Plate Carrier is a customizable plate carrier vest with many of the best features that you are looking for. The front and rear panel plate carrier compartments will accommodate the standard size armor plates up to 11x14 plates. Plate Carrier has easy to access external hard plate pockets. On the outside of the front and back panels are easy to access external hard body plate armor pockets. One side of the external pockets has a full length heavy duty zipper and a top flap with hook and loop fasteners. This allows the wearer to quickly and easily insert all levels of hard plates when the situation requires it, to quickly upgrade their protection level. |
NIJ Level IIIA (3A) is typically the highest level of protection for soft armor. It will protect you from a BB gun to a .44 magnum. What bullets can this vest protect against?A Class IIIA vest can protect against almost all handgun rounds. NIJ IIIA vests are tested with bullets up to a .44 Magnum, which is a really powerful round. This vest will protect against smaller rounds as well. We are quite comfortable in saying that a class IIIA vest will protect you from almost any handgun you will encounter and certainly any handgun that someone conceals. Handgun violence makes up most of the shooting injuries in the US, so this bulletproof vest offers a great level of protection for you.
What won't it protect against? No vest will protect against every bullet, and a IIIA vest won't protect against heavy rifle fire without added armor plates. - This plate carrier also has breathable mesh inner pockets for soft body armor panels.
- The inner pockets feature a pass-through shoulder opening for soft body armor with adjustable shoulder straps to pass through from the front panel to the back panel.
- FITS: 2XL to 3XL size frames
- Compatible with both 10x12 and 11x14 panels/plates, (11x14 size recommended on this size vest)
- The top of the front and rear panels feature a 12.25"W X 2.75"H loop fastener patch areas. The top two PALs webbing rows on the front panel have loop fasteners and the rear panel has a 12.5"W X 2"H loop fastener patch area just under the larger patch area. This allows the user to place Department/Unit patches, name tapes, and moral patches to their plate carrier.

- Made with tough and durable PVC material that is water and chemical resistant. Double and re-enforcement cross stitching in critical areas
- Adjustable for length 2" side straps with large plastic buckles that can be extended out to 58"L (61"L for 2XL+).
- The quick connect buckles allow you to quickly and easily get the plate carrier onto your body.
- PALs webbing on the front & back panels allows the attachments of MOLLE accessories like holsters, magazine pouches, radio/utility pouches, and other essential gear.
- Adjustable for length Shoulder straps with large heavy duty quick connect buckles with hook and loop fasteners. Includes two padded shoulder covers with PALs webbing, hook and loop fasteners, and loops for communications cabling routing.
