Artemisia annua (scientific name: Artemisia carvifolia Buch.-Ham. ex Roxb. Hort. Beng. ) is an annual herb of the Asteraceae family. The plant is fragrant. The main root is single, the drooping stem is solitary, up to 150 cm high, the upper part is multi-branched, the lower part is slightly lignified, the leaves are green or light green on both sides, glabrous.
