Didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, alias decyl methylammonium chloride, didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, etc., is a cationic surfactant. It is a double chain quaternary ammonium salt compound, light yellow transparent liquid at room temperature, soluble in water and organic solvents, stable chemical properties, little irritation. It is a mothproof agent for woolen fabrics, can control insect diseases, and is used as a disinfectant and bactericide in medicine, health and civil use.

Didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride (DDAC) is a mothresistant agent for woolen fabrics, can control insect diseases, and is used as a disinfectant and fungicide in medicine, health and civil use. DDAC is one of the third generation products of quaternary ammonium salt fungicides, and its ability to kill microorganisms is obviously higher than that of the first and second generation products. It can be used as fungicide and algicide in oil field water injection and industrial circulating cooling water system. When used as mothproof for woolen fabrics, it can be filled, impregnated or sprayed. When used as a fungicide to treat hard surfaces, it can be combined with chlorine dioxide.
