Copper foil is an indispensable main raw material for the production of printed circuit boards (PCB), copper clad plates (CCL) and lithium-ion batteries. Industrial copper foil, according to its manufacturing process can be divided into rolled copper foil and electrolytic copper foil two categories. Electrolytic copper foil is made by electrolysis of copper using electrochemical principle. The internal structure of the raw foil is vertical needle-like crystal structure, and its production cost is relatively low. Calendered copper foil is made by repeated rolling and annealing process of copper ingot using plastic processing principle. The internal structure of calendered copper foil is flake crystalline structure, and the ductility of calendered copper foil product is good. At present, electrolytic copper foil is mainly used in the production of rigid circuit boards, and rolled copper foil is mainly used in flexible and high-frequency circuit boards.
