Description
O2/CO2/H2/N2/Ar/He/ Purification Plant

Product Description

The raw hydrogen gas containing saturated water passes through a primary condenser, primary separator, secondary condenser, and secondary separator to separate the saturated water. The relatively processed gas (requiring a cooling source or circulating chilled water) enters the primary deoxygenation vessel, where it undergoes pretreatment at a temperature above 100°C with the aid of a palladium catalyst. This process effectively removes impurities such as oxygen and carbon monoxide from the hydrogen gas. After cooling, filtration, steam-water separation, it enters a two-stage parallel adsorption dryer filled with efficient carbon dioxide and trace water-specific adsorbents for deep treatment. This design avoids the preferential water adsorption function of molecular sieves and simultaneously treats trace carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons, trace water in the hydrogen gas. The dried hydrogen gas, after passing through a high-precision nickel tube dust filter, is discharged for use at the process point.

This device operates according to a self-programmed sequence and the control panel is equipped with selection control buttons, allowing independent selection of the regeneration cycle to prevent resource waste. All data is collected on the control touch screen, and any abnormal pressure or temperature can trigger audible and visual alarms, prompting inspections. The PLC outputs the 485 protocol, enabling remote control connection.

The device adopts a split design with the mechanical part of the open-ended pipeline and the explosion-proof cabinet for electrical control. The field equipment power supply part is equipped with a sealed junction box, and the hard pipes are connected to the electrical control box. The regeneration purge gas is connected to an explosion-proof device before being discharged outdoors at a relatively high point.

A pneumatic valve is installed at the cooling water inlet, which automatically opens during regeneration. The water consumption for regeneration is less than 0.1m3/h.

Technical Principle

The technical principle of a hydrogen purifier, as summarized based on the text provided, involves the following steps:

1. First-stage Condensation and Separation: The raw hydrogen gas containing saturated water is passed through a first-stage condenser and separator to separate the saturated water from the gas.

2. Second-stage Condensation and Separation: The gas then undergoes a second-stage condensation and separation process, where further separation of any remaining water takes place.

3. Deoxygenation: The relatively processed gas enters a primary deoxygenation vessel, where it is subjected to a pre-treatment process at a temperature above 100°C, facilitated by a palladium catalyst. This step helps effectively remove impurities such as oxygen and carbon monoxide from the hydrogen gas.

4. Cooling, Filtration, and Steam-water Separation: The gas is then cooled, filtered, and subjected to steam-water separation to further remove impurities and contaminants.

5. Deep Treatment in Adsorption Dryer: The purified gas enters a two-stage parallel adsorption dryer filled with efficient adsorbents specially designed to remove trace amounts of carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons, and residual water from the hydrogen gas.

6. Final Filtration: After the adsorption process, the gas passes through a high-precision nickel tube dust filter to remove any remaining particulate matter or dust.

7. Discharge for Use: The purified and dried hydrogen gas is then ready for use and is discharged for further application or process utilization.

By implementing these steps, the hydrogen purifier effectively removes impurities, moisture, and other contaminants, resulting in high-purity hydrogen suitable for various applications.

Advantages of Hydrogen Purifiers

1. Enhanced Purity: A hydrogen purifier removes impurities, contaminants, and moisture from the hydrogen gas, ensuring high levels of purity. This is vital for applications that require clean and reliable hydrogen supply.

2. Improved Safety: By eliminating impurities such as oxygen and carbon monoxide, a hydrogen purifier enhances the safety of hydrogen gas handling and usage. It reduces the risk of combustion, explosions, and equipment damage.

3. Extended Equipment Lifespan: Impurities in hydrogen gas can cause corrosion, fouling, and damage to downstream equipment. A hydrogen purifier helps mitigate these issues, resulting in increased equipment lifespan and reduced maintenance costs.

4. Reliable Performance: High-purity hydrogen obtained through purification processes ensures consistent and optimal performance in various applications, including fuel cells, industrial processes, and laboratory experiments.

5. Customizable Configurations: Hydrogen purifiers are available in different configurations to suit specific application requirements and flow rates. They can be integrated into existing hydrogen systems or used as standalone units, offering flexibility and adaptability.

6. Precise Control: Hydrogen purifiers often feature advanced control systems that allow for precise monitoring and adjustment of purification processes. This ensures optimal performance and adaptability to changing operational conditions.

7. Energy Efficiency: Hydrogen purifiers are designed to operate with minimal energy consumption, minimizing resource waste and promoting energy efficiency.

8. Remote Control Capability: Many hydrogen purifiers are equipped with remote control functionality, enabling monitoring, data collection, and control from a centralized location. This facilitates efficient operation and maintenance management.

9. Environmental Benefits: Purifying hydrogen gas reduces the release of impurities into the environment, contributing to cleaner air and minimizing the impact on the environment.
