Rebar refers to steel used for reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete. Its cross section is round and sometimes square with rounded corners. Including light round steel bar, ribbed steel bar, torsion steel bar.
The nominal diameter of steel bar is 8-50 mm, and the recommended diameters are 8, 12, 16, 20, 25, 32, 40 mm. Steel: 20MnSi, 20MnV, 25MnSi, BS20MnSi. Reinforcement mainly undergoes tensile stress in concrete. Because of the action of rib, deformed steel bar and concrete have greater bonding ability, so it can bear the action of external force better. Rebar is the common name for hot rolled ribbed steel bars. The grade of ordinary hot-rolled steel bar is composed of HRB and the minimum yield point of the grade. H, R, and B are the first letters of the three words Hotrolled, Ribbed, and Bars respectively.
Hot-rolled ribbed steel bars are divided into three grades: Grade II HRB335 (the old grade is 20MnSi), Grade III HRB400 (the old grades are 20MnSiV, 20MnSiNb, 20Mnti), and Grade IV HRB500.
Deformed steel bar is commonly known as hot-rolled ribbed steel bar. It belongs to small section steel and is mainly used for the skeleton of reinforced concrete building components. In use, it is required to have certain mechanical strength, bending deformation performance and process welding performance. The raw material billet for the production of rebar is carbon structural steel or low-alloy structural steel treated by sedation melting, and the finished rebar is delivered in hot-rolled forming,normalizing or hot-rolled state.
