Sodium Bicarbonate is a salt composed of sodium ions and bicarbonate ions. Sodium bicarbonate is a white solid that is crystalline but often appears as a fine powder.
It has a slightly salty, alkaline taste resembling that of washing soda (sodium carbonate).
