Vine tea, Chinese medicine name. It is a branch of Ampelopsis megalophylla Diels et Gilg. Distributed in southwest and Shaanxi, Gansu, Hubei and other places. It has the effect of clearing heat and dampness, flattening liver and lowering blood pressure, promoting blood circulation and clearing collaterals. It is used for dysentery, diarrhea, urination, high blood pressure, dizziness, distention and injury.

Dihydromyricetin is the extract of rattan tea, which is the main active component of rattan tea. This kind of substance has many unique effects such as scavenging free radicals, anti-oxidation, anti-thrombus, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, etc. Dihydromyricetin is a special flavonoid compound, which has special effects in relieving alcohol intoxication, preventing alcoholic liver and fatty liver, inhibiting liver cell deterioration, reducing the incidence of liver cancer, anti-hypertension, inhibiting platelet aggregation in vitro and thrombosis formation in vivo, reducing blood lipid and blood sugar levels, improving SOD activity and protecting liver.

Function:

1)Clearing the free radical in body and antioxidation:
The vine tea extract can effectively level down the lipid peroxidation. It can prevent the oxidative damage of
antioxidase in body caused by the free radical. Then it can improve the oxidation resistance of the human body.

2)Antibiotic Action:
The vine tea extract has the strong inhibitory action of staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis. It also has
inhibitory action of Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus niger, penicillium and Alternaria. Dihydromyricetin has the
inhibitory action of Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus aureus(S. aureus) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

3)Protecting the Liver:
Dihydromyricetin has the strong inhibitory action of the rise of ALT and AST in the blood Serum. It can low the
total bilirubin in the blood serum. So it has the strong action oflowing the aminotransferase and jaundice. The
vine tea extract can restrain the liver fibrosis in the rat.

4)Reducing the levels of blood sugar and blood fat:
Dihydromyricetin can reduce the blood fat levels in the mouse. It can decrease the damage to liver cells caused
by the high blood fat levels and improve the antioxidation ability. At the same time, it can low the levels of high
blood sugar.

5)Anti inflammation:
The vine tea extract can effectively restrain the mouse pinna swelling caused by xylene. It can also restrain the
writhing response in the mouse caused by acetic acid.

6) Anti-tumor:
The vine tea extract has effective restrain to cell proliferation of some tumor cells.

Application:

1. Applied in Medicine products:
Dihydromyricetin is widely used in such as anti-inflammatory, antitussive, expectorant, analgesic,
antibacterial medicinal 1700ppm or more. For tablets, capsules, granules, etc.

2. Applied in Health care products:
Protect liver, hangover effect. Accelerate the decomposition of the ethanol metabolite acetaldehyde.
100-800ppm Blood sugar lowering,blood lipids 150-200ppm.Antioxidant, free radical scavenging 400ppm

3. Applied in feed industry:
Dihydromyricetin has a good antibacterial effect and is used in the feed industry to enhance the immunity
of poultry and livestock, improve production performance and feed conversion rate, and improve meat quality.
