Properties:
Activated alumina, also known as activated bauxite, has the characteristics of porosity, high dispersion and large specific surface area; the chemical formula is Al2O3. White powder, density 3.9~4.0g/cm3, melting point 2050ºC, boiling point 2980ºC. It is insoluble in water and slowly soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid.Application:It can be used to refine aluminum metal, and is also a raw material for making crucibles, porcelain, refractory materials and artificial gemstones, as well as in petrochemical, fine chemical, biological and pharmaceutical fields.
