Easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in acids, almost insoluble in water and oxalic acid solutions. Melting point 230 ºC (decomposition). Irritating. Heat to 300-400 ºC and decompose into ThO2. The solubility in water at 25 ºC is 0.0346mg. Heat to about 190 ºC and discard one water molecule.
