Product Application

The application of ultrafiltration technology has been more than forty years ago. In recent years, ultrafiltration has been widely used in the fields of water treatment, such as drinking water purification, wastewater treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, seawater desalination, and water reuse.



Principles of Ultra-Filtration Technology

In the field of membrane separation, there are four main separationtechniques: micro-filtration, ultra-filtration, nano-filtration and reverseosmosis. Their separation mechanism is that the feed water is driven bypressure, according to the different membrane pore size, the materialgreater than the membrane size is trapped by the membrane, and thematerial smaller than the membrane pore size passes through the mem-brane, so as to achieve the separation. The ultra-filtration membrane poresize is approximately 0.1 um, and the molecular weight cut off (MWCO) isbetween 6.000 - 100.000 Dalton, Ultrafiltration can almost remove thesuspended matter, colloids, macromolecular substances, bacteria in waterthe removal rate of BOD and COD is 20% - 60% and cannot remove smallmolecule organics and inorganics.
