1. Used as flux: when ZnO is used as flux in low-temperature frit glaze, the general dosage is between 5% and 10%, and about 5% in low-temperature raw glaze.
2. Used as opacification agent: Zinc oxide was added to glazing with high Al2O3 to improve opacification of glazing. Because ZnO can form zinc spinel crystals with Al2O3. In zinc-containing opacities glazes, Al2O3 can improve the whiteness and opacities of glazes. SiO2 can improve the gloss of the glaze.
3. Used as crystallization agent: in the art glaze crystal glaze, ZnO is indispensable crystallization agent, in the molten
glaze cooling, it forms a large crystal pattern, very beautiful. The amount of ZnO in crystalline glaze is up to 20 ~ 30%.
4. To make cobalt blue glaze: ZnO is a very important flux in cobalt blue glaze, it can make cobalt oxide in the glaze to form a beautiful sky blue.
5. Used as ceramic pigments: because of its strong melting effect, ZnO can be used as a flux of ceramic pigments, mineralizing agent and glaze color carrier. Used as main raw material in brown ceramic color series
6. As a glass additive: add aluminum, gallium and nitrogen zinc oxide transparency up to 90%, can be used as a glass coating, let visible light through at the same time reflect infrared. Paint can be applied on the inside or outside of window glass to achieve the effect of heat preservation or insulation.
