Product Description

Ferroalloy consisting of molybdenum and iron, usually containing 50 to 60% molybdenum, used as an alloy additive in steelmaking.
Ferro molybdenum is an alloy of molybdenum and iron. Its main use is as an additive of molybdenum in steelmaking. Adding
molybdenum into steel can make steel have uniform fine grain structure and improve hardenability of steel, which is beneficial to
eliminate temper brittleness. Molybdenum can replace part of tungsten in high speed steel. Molybdenum in combination with other
alloying elements is widely used in the production of stainless steel, heat resistant steel, acid resistant steel and tool steel, as well as alloys with special physical properties. Molybdenum is added to cast iron to increase its strength and wear resistance.

Application

Ferro Molybdenum70 is mainly used to add molybdenum to steel in steel making. Molybdenum is mixed with other alloy elements to be widely used to make stainless steel, heat resistant steel, acid-resistant steel and tool steel. And it is also used to produce the alloy which has especially physical properties. To add molybdenum to iron casting can improve strength and abrasion resistance.
