2711P-T7C22D9P is a powerful graphics terminal that is a part of the PanelView Plus 7 product line. It has a touchscreen input with a 6.5-inch display size. The 2711P-T7C22D9P also comes with a TFT color display and Touch input. Accompanied by an efficient SD card, this graphic terminal quickly copies and restores the operator interface. It has a LED backlight and an input voltage requirement of 24 Volts DC. Though the backlight is not changeable, its lifespan reaches up to 50,000 hours minimum at 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) and 50% brightness.

The touchscreen display for 2711P-T7C22D9P is analog resistive. Its actuation rating is around 1 million presses and it has an operating force of up to 100 grams. Just like other PanelView Plus 7 graphic terminals, the 2711P-T7C22D9P uses software named FactoryTalk View Studio or FactoryTalk ViewPoint. This software offers a commonplace environment for developing HMI applications. The 2711P-T7C22D9P also utilizes Windows CE OS. It has extended features and MS Office Viewers including a PDF reader, FTP, ActiveX controls, VNC client-server, and third-party device support. The display resolution for 2711P-T7C22D9P is 640 x 480 VGA with 18-bit color graphics. It supports (cat. Number) 1784-SDx cards and has a system memory of up to 512 MB RAM with 512 MB storage. When combined with FactoryTalk Machine Edition 9.0 software with a connection to another controller, the 2711P-T7C22D9P will provide 50 screens (25 replace and 25 on-top faceplate screens) and 500 alarms. Additionally, this terminal promotes single or DLR Ethernet ports for network connectivity. Its power consumption is 50 Watts maximum (2.1 A at 24 Volts DC).

Being a performance terminal, the 2711P-T7C22D9P is equipped with Two (2) Ethernet interfaces, supporting Linear, Device Level Ring (DLR) and Star topologies. This is primarily used to communicate and integrate data residing in automation devices' memory. This performance terminal is compatible for communicating with Logix controllers as well as the older controllers such as SLC500 and MicroLogix. These ports may also be used to integrate the HMI as part of plant-level and enterprise automation component. It supports 10/100 Mbps transmission speed with auto-negotiation capability and may be extended using a repeater device or a media converter device.

The advanced version of Windows CE operating system enables this operator terminal to support Microsoft Office file viewer and Windows Media player functionalities as an addition to the basic capabilities such as File Transfer Protocol (FTP), VNC remote access, PDF file compatibility and Active-X controls.
