Description

Inconel 622 is a versatile Ni-chrome-molybdenum-tungsten alloy, an updated version of Hastelloc -276, with excellent resistance to pitting, crevices and stress corrosion cracking. It has excellent resistance to oxidizing water media, including wet chlorine, nitricacid, or oxidizing acid mixtures containing chloride ions. At the same time, NS3308 alloy also has ideal resistance to the reducing and oxidizing environment encountered during the process. Because of this versatile performance, it can be used in some troublesome environment, or in multiple production purpose plant applications.

Inconel 622 has better uniform corrosion resistance in oxidizing media than HastelloyC-4 and HastelloyC-276, and has excellent local corrosion resistance.

Inconel 622 alloy has exceptional resistance to a variety of chemical environments, including strong oxidizing substances, such as ferric chloride, copper chloride, chlorine, thermal pollution solution (organic and inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, seawater and salt solutions.

Application
Typical applications: Heat exchanger, bellows compensator, chemical equipment, flue gas desulfurization and desalination, paper industry, equipment and components in acidic environment, reactors of acetic acid and acid products, scrubber in FGD system, sulfuric acid condenser, ferric chloride and copper dichloride, hot polluted solution (organic or inorganic), formic acid, acetic anhydride and other strong oxidants and seawater, brine solution environment, etc.
