What are Stainless Steel Angles?
In the steel industry, hot-rolled and laser-fused stainless steel angles are common structural shapes with various uses. There are various types of SS angles. The angles are L-shaped and most of them are 90 degrees. Stainless Steel Angles are commonly used in building, bridges, machinery, framing, shelving, furniture, and other applications. These SS are incredibly strong and won't rust even after years of use. SS angles last a very long time without requiring replacement., unlike wooden angles.
These Stainless Steel Angles have good notch impact toughness down to temperatures below - 40 Degrees F. Rare earth metals in SS Angles improve adhesion and elasticity of the oxide scale, even under cyclic conditions. The design strength of Stainless Steel 304 Angles is significantly higher, often permitting lighter wall construction. These Stainless Steel 310S Angles provide superior strength and chloride stress corrosion cracking resistance for these stainless steels. The use of manganese ensures proper ferrite-austenite phase balance in Stainless Steel 316 Angles while allowing a reduction in nickel content.
With the addition of rare earth elements, Stainless Steel 316H Angles still performs well at temperatures up to 2000 Degree F (1093 Degree C), similar to other alloys. These Stainless Steel 316Ti Angles are a lean austenitic heat-resistant alloy with high strength and outstanding oxidation resistance.
