Tungsten carbide grinding ball is one of the highest density media material for milling and crushing applications. Available as
Sintered rough balls (balls with bands)
Semi-precision ball(round balls)
High-precision balls(polished balls)
Cost varies with roundness, roughness and size. Tungsten carbide grinding ball owns excellent performance in wear-resistance and resistance to acid and alkali. High hardness, can meet the most majority of metal powder crushing and refining.
They are used on equipments such as planetary ball mill, lab ball mill, high energy ball mill, roller jar mill, attritors, sample prep mixer/mill, shaker mill, mixer mill, cryomill.
And they are extensively applied to in the fields of :
Metallurgy
Ceramics
Electronics
Light Industry
Paint
Medicine
Geology
Chemical Engineering
Miller is an ISO certified professional manufacturer for tungsten carbide balls since 2008, and uniquely positioned to help you identify and source the correct grinding media for your size reduction equipment.
The semi-precision carbide ball we produced preserves high hardness, can meet the vast majority of metal powder crushing and refining. It is removed the band and makes better grinding efficiency and saves time when compared with the rough sintered ball of same diameter.
We keep semi-precision tungsten carbide balls in stock of 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm etc. for your on time delivery. Sizes also could be customized as we have a group of experienced technical personnel, advanced mould production equipments to realize your customization by drawing and sample.
According to the material, Miller recommend you the ball size ranges from 0.4 mm to 3 mm for small media mills, up to 3mm to 20mm for planetary ball mill, and up to 20mm to 50mm for ball mills.
1. WC92% + 8% Co (In request of more wear-resistance, we suggest to use WC-Co grades. )
2. WC92% + 8% Ni (In most corrosion-wear situations, an optimum choice is the WC-Ni grades, which are resistant down to pH 2 to 3.)
3. W85%-97%+Ni+Fe Tungsten balls (Density 15.5-18.5g/cm3, mostly are used in the field of shots and counterweight. such as the fish pendant, Oil drilling balance,Ball valves and bearings, Shotgun bullet, Armor-piercing bullet…)
4. W99.95% Pure tungsten balls (Density 19.0-19.2g/cm3, mostly are used in Aerospace, aviation, electrical Instrumentation, laboratory…)
