This acknowledgement defines product composites, technical requirement, testing method, inspection rules, mark and packaging of heat shrinkable busbar protection tube.
This acknowledgement applies to heat shrinkable busbar protection tube of 1kV, 10kV and 35kV voltage class.Heat shrinkable busbar protection tubeis used for busbar insulation protection of substation and high and low voltage switch cabinet. Heat shrinkable busbar protection tube is capable of making switch cabinet compact, like reducing the interval distance, to prevent accidental short circuitfault.

3. Terms
3.1 Heat Shrinkable Material
Heat shrinkable material is a kind of polymer composites consist of rubber and plastics. It is expanded by heating and then cooled rapidly to definite form after being crosslinked by radiation or chemical method. It is able to shrink to the original size by heating before use.
3.2 Heat Shrinkable Tube for Busbar
Heat shrinkable tube for busbar is made of heat shrinkable material. It shrinks on the busbars of electrical equipment for safety protection.
4. Technical Requirements
4.1 Conditions
4.1.1 Temperature range: -40ºC-125ºC.
4.1.2 Long term use in acid and alkali condition.
4.1.3 Meet the strict environment protection requirement.
4.2 Appearance
Surface of heat shrinkable tube for busbar should be clean, smooth, no sign of water or stain, no visible pore and cracking.
4.3 Heat Shrink Property
4.3.1 The initial shrinking temperature is 70ºC and fully shrinking temperature is 125ºC. Since the thick wall of tube for busbar, shrink in an oven at 120ºC or an hot air generator is recommended.
4.3.2 Longitudinal Shrinkage
Longitudinal shrinkage of heat shrinkable busbar protection tube (short for WMPG in Chinese) is generally not more than ±10%.
4.3.3 Radical Shrinkage
Radical shrinkage of heat shrinkable busbar protection tube should be not less than 50%.
4.3.4 Eccentricity
Eccentricity of heat shrinkable busbar protection tubes of 10kV and below voltage class should be not more than 30% and 50% for tubes of 35kV voltage class. Eccentricity of all spec should be not more than 30% after recovery.
4.4 Properties
Product properties refer to Table 1.
4.5 power frequency voltage test and lightning impulse voltage test
The length of not less than 2000mm bus with the heat shrinkable tube contraction in the adaptation and the rectangle busbar, and contraction of the insulated busbar placed parallel to the busbar of another of the same size, the gap between the two bus for 10 kV bus with heat shrinkable tube is 70mm, 20kV bus with heat shrinkable tube is 120mm, 35kV bus with the heat shrinkable tube is 200mm, in insulated busbar applied according table 2 the power frequency voltage, 1min, lightning impulse voltage of positive and negative polarity 15 times each, another of the same size bus grounding.
4.6 Dimension
Product dimension refers to Table3 to Table 6.
4.7 Color
Standard colors include red, yellow and green. Other colors, such as black, blue, etc can be customized.
