2. Specimen collection

2.1 Nasal swab specimens
To collect a nasal swab specimen, insert the sterile swab into the nostril that presents the most secretion under visual inspection. Using gentle rotation push the swab until resistance is met, which is at the level of the turbinate (less than one inch into the nostril). Rotate the swab a few times against the nasal wall and remove it from the nostril.
2.2 Throat swab specimens
To collect a throat swab specimen, rub the sterile swab on both tonsil surfaces and the posterior pharynx, and avoid touching the tongue, teeth, and gums.

2.3.2 Container for collecting saliva
Release it into the container once the sputum/oropharyngeal saliva is in your mouth.

3. Dilute specimen

3.1 Insert the swab sample into Sample Diluent and mix against the side of the vial.
3.2 Remove the swab while squeezing the middle of the vial to remove the liquid from the swab.
3.3 Add Dropper Tip to the vial.

4. Test
4.1 Lay cassette and add 3-4 drops(about 70-100μl)of the test sample into the sample well. Read results for 15-20 minutes.

INTERPRETATION OF ASSAY RESULT

1. NEGATIVE:

If only the quality control line C appears, and the test line T is not burgundy, it indicates that no HCG is detected, and the result is negative. Due to the limitation of detection sensitivity, negative results may be caused by HCG concentrations lower than the analytical sensitivity of the product.

2. POSITIVE:

If both the quality control line C and the test line T appear, it indicates that HCG is detected. Samples with positive results should be confirmed with alternative testing method(s) and clinical findings before a diagnosis is made.

3. INVALID:

If the quality control line C is not displayed, the test result is invalid regardless of whether there is a burgundy test line, and it should be tested again.

Repeat the test using the remaining sample or new sample, if the results are not clear. If the test repeated fail to produce a result, discontinue using the kit and contact the manufacturer.

1. NEGATIVE RESULT:
If only the C line develops, the test indicates that no detectable Influenza virus is present in the specimen. The result is negative or non-reactive.
2. POSITIVE RESULT:
2.1 In addition to the presence of the C line, if the T1 line develops, the test indicates the presence of the Influenza A virus. The result is Influenza A positive or reactive.
2.2 In addition to the presence of the C line, if only the T2 line develops, the test indicates the presence of the Influenza B virus. The result is Influenza B positive or reactive.
2.3 In addition to the presence of the C line, if both the T1 and T2 lines develop, the test indicates the presence of both Influenza A virus and Influenza B virus. The result is Influenza A and B positive or reactive.
3. INVALID
If the C line does not develop, the assay is invalid regardless of the color development of the T line as indicated below. Repeat the assay with a new device.
