RFD900 + and RFD900X main difference is that the RFD900 + can only be one-to-one, while the RFD900X can be one-to-many, suitable for clustering, group control and other projects
The following cables of FTDI are compatible with RFD900 modems. FTDI cable pin 1 connected to the RFD  900 connector pin 1 of the connector.
 
To power the modem with a +5V USB power supply, a jumper needs to be connected between pins 4 and 6
To power the modem from an external +5V power supply, connect the power supply to pins 2 and 4.
 
RFD900X
The RFD900x is a high performance 900 MHz ISM band radio modem covering the 902-928 MHz frequency band. It is designed for remote serial communication applications that require good radio link performance.
