How to Choose Painted Corrugated Steel Sheets?
It is important to choose your own colored corrugated metal according to the intended uses, use environment, expected service life, etc. Let's review the following aspects.
The substrate directly affects the quality of pre-painted corrugated sheets. It is because the painting and profiling process has little impact on the mechanical properties of steel. Commonly, the thickness of roof and wall is 0.4-1.6mm, and 0.1-1 mm for ceilings. While if being used as a bearing wall or silo, it should be with a thickness of 2-3 mm or above. Also, there are different designs and wave heights to choose from. But please note that it doesn't mean the thicker the metal, the better the quality. You should choose upon your needs.

Using for Public Buildings
It has higher requirements for color retention, chalking resistance, and surface quality. Therefore, we usually adopt an AZ150 galvalume sheet, Z275 galvanized sheet, or aluminum-manganese-magnesium alloy sheet as the base metal. The top coating is commonly PVDF coating or HDP coating, 25μm in thickness and mostly in a light color. And the paint is applied by double coating and double baking.

1. Coating Types
When choosing a primer, you need to consider the adhesion of the primer;
while for top coating, corrosion resistance and color retention will be more important.
There are four commonly used coatings, including polyester (PE),
silicone modified polyester (SMP), high durability polyester (HDP),
and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF).
PE coating is of good adhesion and it is widely used as a primer.
