Introduction:
801-A rheological additive is a kind of organic ammonium montmorillonite organoclay, which is excellent thickening and good rheology in low-medium polarity solvent system, such as sealant, paints, inks. It is good dispersity over a wide temperature range.

Application:
801-A rheological additive is a new thickening, rheological additive, is used in inks, asphalt paint, anti-corrosion paint, marine paint and sealant etc.

Usage:
801-A rheological additive Rheological Additive can be directly used in the processes of grinding raw materials. It can comparably easily disperse under shear of grinding raw materials. And can also disperser in the system after the traditional-making pre-gel.

Usage in paints:
Add part of resin solvent, 
Add 801-A , stir for 5-10 minutes under high shearing forces,  
Add polar activator, which is 30-50% of the organic bentonite such as 95% ethanol & propylene carbonate, stir for 5-10 minutes under high shearing forces,      
Grind or stir the organic bentonite with moist additive to the proper particles,
Put the rest of the resin solvent and other materials together to grind it to a complete mixture.

Usage in making sealant
Put the solvent, elastomer polymer together to dissolve, 
Put the raw materials to the solvent till it is moist,
Add polar activator 30-50% of the organic bentonite,
Make the 801-A disperse the solvent completely.

Dosage:
Add more solvent to the thickening properties needed the optimum amount of 801-A depends on the formulation and on the requirements of system. The average amount in the sealant is 3-5%, a little more than in paints.
