Loquat leaf extract is from Eriobotryajaponica (Thunb.) Lindl. It is the dry leaf extract.Its main components are ursolic acid and oleanolic acid, and other effective components are volatile oil, triterpenoid acids, sesquiterpene, flavonoids, polyphenols, organic acids, etc. It has anti-inflammatory and antitussive, blood sugar lowering, anti-virus, anti-tumor and other pharmacological activities.
The extraction process involves refluxing crushed loquat leaves with ethanol to obtain an extract in the form of an extract. Ethanol is then recovered, and the extract is thoroughly washed with water and dried to obtain a dry extract. The dry extract is dissolved in ethanol and decolorized. The decolorization solution is then added with water to precipitate a large amount of precipitate, adjusted to a pH of 2-2.5.
