Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is an inorganic substance, a new water purification material, inorganic polymer coagulant, referred to as polyaluminium. It is a water-soluble inorganic high molecular polymer between AlCl3 and Al(OH)3, the general chemical formula is [Al2(OH)nCl6-n]m, where m represents the degree of polymerization, and n represents the PAC product neutral level. It has strong bridging and adsorption properties. During the hydrolysis process, physical and chemical processes such as coagulation, adsorption and precipitation will occur.
The structure of polyaluminum chloride is composed of multiple carboxyl complexes with various forms.
