Ammonium persulfate is nonflammable, but it can release oxygen and has a combustion supporting effect. When it is stored, it must be stored in a dry and closed container to avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. Do not contact with organic matter, rust, a small amount of metal and other reducing substances to prevent the decomposition and explosion of Ammonium persulfate. As the wet Ammonium persulfate powder and its aqueous solution have bleaching and slight corrosion effects, direct contact with eyes, skin and clothing should be avoided during use.
1. Widely used in the battery industry.
2. Used for the production of persulfate and the refinement of ammonium sulfate.
3. Used in the manufacturing of aniline dyes, as an oxidizing colorant for Weng dyes.
4. Polymerization: An initiator for latex or acrylic monomer polymerization solutions, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, and other products, as well as for the copolymerization of colloids such as styrene, acrylonitrile, and butadiene.
5. Metal treatment: Treatment of metal surfaces (such as cleaning and etching of printed circuits in semiconductor manufacturing). Activation of copper and aluminum surfaces.
6. The decolorization and bleaching of oil, the washing and deodorization of spoilage yeast, and the ripening agent of wheat.
7. Additives used for downhole fracturing in oil extraction.
8. Developing and fixing agents applied to film; Widely used for waste liquid treatment, etc.
9. Cosmetics: The main ingredient of bleaching formulas.
10. Textiles: Desizing agents and bleaching agents - especially for low-temperature bleaching.
11. Used as an initiator for polymer polymerization in the organic synthesis industry.
12. Other: chemical synthesis; Water treatment (purification); Waste gas treatment, oxidative degradation of harmful substances (such as mercury); Disinfectants; Paper (starch modified for low-temperature bleaching and special repulping).
