Electrode Material Properties
Welding parts with different materials and shapes need to be equipped with electrodes of different materials and shapes. Electrodes affect more than 50% of the welding quality during continuous welding. Choosing the right welding materials and electrodes is very important to the welding quality!
1. Chromium-zirconium copper (CuCrZr) Chromium-zirconium copper (CuCrZr) is the most commonly used resistance welding electrode material, which is determined by its excellent chemical and physical properties and good cost performance.
2. Beryllium Copper (BeCu) Compared with chrome-zirconium copper, beryllium copper (BeCu) electrode material has higher hardness (up to HRB95~104), strength (up to 600~700Mpa/N/mm²) and softening temperature (up to 650°C), but its conductivity Much lower and worse.
3. Copper alumina (CuAl?O?) Aluminum oxide copper (CuAl?O?) is also called dispersion strengthened copper. Compared with chromium-zirconium copper, it has excellent high-temperature mechanical properties (softening temperature up to 900 ° C), higher strength (up to 460~580Mpa/N/mm²) , and good conductivity (conductivity 80~85IACS%), excellent wear resistance, long life.
