Characteristics of MOPSO

MOPSO has a high solubility in water and does not precipitate with metal ions. The pKa is between 6 and 8, and the salt effect is very small. In addition, it is not easily affected by factors such as temperature, ion composition, and concentration; It will not interfere with biological activity and has stable chemical properties.

Preparation method of MOPSO buffer:

If 1 liter of solution is required, prepare 800 mL of distilled water in a beaker, add 112.63 grams of MOPSO powder into a beaker filled with distilled water, adjust to the desired pH range with a 10% solution, and add distilled water until the required volume is reached. This completes the preparation.
 


Application of MOPSO

MOPSO can be used to prepare stable bottom solutions in low-temperature biochemical working environments; Used as a buffer system for the determination of byproducts of biological marine oil, in addition, it can also be used in carrier electrolytes and new liquid phase separation technologies such as capillary electrophoresis. It can also be used for the preparation of buffer glutathione synthase crystals and some physicochemical research methods, such as spectrophotometry.

In addition, the peptide skeleton of MOPSO and BSA also has an impact on each other, which can to some extent prevent the thermal denaturation of BSA, and it can serve as a buffer for copper related analysis.
