ALICE stands for All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment system and was adopted by the United States in the 1960's to help soldiers carry large heavy packs. This complete U.S ALICE Field Pack features one main compartment and 5 smaller pocket on the lower part, which also includes metal frame, padded kidney pads and padded shoulders to help distribute the load. Lower and upper back pads for extra cushioning after a long day in the field.
