Flowmeter working principle:
The V-type flowmeters is a differential pressure flowmeters, it get differential pressure to reflect flow rate through throttle. Throttling set is a cone a hanging in the pipeline central. High pressure the static pressure upstream pH (positive pressure) gets from the wall before the cone, low pressure(the pressure downstream) PL (negative pressure) gets from cone central, square root of the differential pressure DP is proportional to the flow.

* Shorter straight pipe
Cone flowmeter adopt unique design of central streamlining throttling device, which effectively solve the problem with fluid rectifier in the long straight pipe. It hangs in the center of the pipeline a cone-shaped throttling device, impeding the flow of medium and reshaping the flow curve. And immediately forms an ideal fluid in cone upstream and downstream pipeline. Thus the requirement length of cone flowmeter is only upstream (0~3)D and downstream (0~3)D.
* High accuracy
The downstream static pressure of the cone flowmeter is high-frequency or low amplitude signals, which makes the Δ P low noise and very stable. The accuracy can be reach ± 0.5%.
* Wide flow range, low Permanent Pressure Loss
The range ratio of the cone flowmeter is 10: 1. If demand, it may be increased to 30: 1 when choosing appropriate parameters. Under the same β Value, the permanent pressure loss of the cone flowmeter is about 1/5~1/10 of the orifice plate, which greatly reduce the power consumption.
* Dirt resistance and Anti-Clogging
With "self-cleaning function", the cone flowmeter doesn't exist dead zone. The medium speed up when flowing through the cone, and clean the high pressure taping, cone body & the pipeline around the cone. Meanwhile low pressure taping is insulated by non-liquid mediums, with which dirty fluid will not contact. So, cone flowmeter can be used to measure impurities and dirty mediums easy to be crystallized.
* Measuring medium with high temperature and pressure
The highest working temperature and pressure respectively reach 800° C and 42.0MPa, which can be higher with special material.
* Measuring medium in complicated conditions
For its unique design structure, cone flowmeter can measure gas-liquid phase, multiphase flow, liquid vibration, electromagnetic interference medium and mixed gas phase etc.
