 Introduction:

 IMO Spread of Flame Tester is used to evaluate combustion characteristics of building materials and ship materials. It measures the spread rate of flame, the flame for ignition by distances, CFE (Critical Flux at Extinguishment), and total heat release.

This test method originated from ISO 5658-2 (Reaction to fire tests-Spread of flame- Part 2 Lateral spread on building products in vertical configuration) and measures combustion characteristics of the vertical specimen (155mmX800mm). 

The specimen is exposed to the reasonable radiant heat field and is measured by a thermocouple for exhaust gas calibrated through the progress of combustion as a unit of mV. 

The results are expressed in terms of the flame spread distance/time history, the flame front velocity versus heat flux, the critical heat flux at extinguishment, and the average heat for sustained burning. Total heat release (kW) and so on.

Rail for easily measuring heat flux of radiant panel at an interval of 50mm.

IMO Program to facilitate all calibrations and tests as well as to printout out results by standards (IMO, ISO).

Radiant panel temperature controller: Equipment to prevent flame back toward the back side of the Radiant panel, check the internal temperature of the radiant panel and automatically block gas sol. v/v in case of flame back-flow.
