Product Introduction

MOPS is 3-morpholinopropane sulfonic acid, CAS number 1132-61-2, sulfonic acid substance, is a common biological buffer, often used to prepare RNA and protein electrophoresis buffer.

This product is mainly composed of MOPS, sodium acetate, and EDTA. It is prepared with nuclease-free water and filtered by a microporous membrane. It is suitable for RNA formaldhyde deformed electrophoresis. After testing, this product has no RNase activity.

This product contains 0.4 M MOPS, 0.1 M sodium acetate, 10 mM EDTA, pH 7.0±0.1.


Storage and transportation

Transport at room temperature, store at room temperature, avoid direct sunlight, valid for 24 months.


Instructions for use

This product is a ten-fold concentrated solution, which needs to be diluted 10 times before use, that is, every 10 mL of 10×MOPS Buffer is mixed with 90 mL of nuclease-free water (G4700 or G3004 is recommended) before use.

When preparing an agarose gel for RNA formaldhyde denaturation electrophoresis, you can operate as follows: Take the preparation of 1% agarose gel as an example, weigh 0.5 g agarose and add 36 mL RNase-Free Water (G4700 or G3004 is recommended) ), after heating and melting, add 5 mL 10×MOPS Buffer (G3373 is recommended). When the solution is cooled to not hot, add 9 mL of 37% formaldhyde solution, add nucleic acid dye EB as needed, mix and pour the gel.


Precautions

1. Pay attention to the operation when using, use a sterile non-enzyme tip to absorb the solution to avoid RNase contamination.

2. This product tends to turn yellow when exposed to light. It is recommended to store in a cool and dark place. When the solution is light yellow, it will not affect the use. If the color is too dark, it is recommended to stop using it.
